I am a web designer & developer located in Ann Arbor, MI
For several years I have been maintaining a simple, single page website for Forma Fiberarts, a weaving & knitting supply store just outside of Ann Arbor.
The current iteration of this site is built with PerchCMS so that the shop owner can log in and easily update the information on the website. I used basic PHP to customize the Perch installation and create the editable homepage template.
The site’s front end was coded in HTML5, the CSS was scripted in Sass with the Bourbon/Neat framework.
Up until June of 2015, I used the domain ravenwilde.com as my personal portfolio site. That site went through many iterations over the years, the last of which (featured here) was perhaps the best. It was created November of 2013 and utilized most of the development skills I possessed at that time. Therefore, it makes for an interesting ‘save point’ in my history as a developer.
It was built using HTML5 Boilerplate & normalize.css. Great attention was given to both layout & typography at mobile, tablet & desktop widths. Additionally, since it was meant to be a simple site, mainly a list of links to various projects, I used only SVG images in its design in order to make it compatible with retina devices.
